SAN DIEGO – September 24, 2020 – Dr. Seuss Enterprises, a leading global children’s entertainment company, today announced new and renewed international licensing deals with German Publisher Verlag Antje Kunstmann for The Lorax and How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Dr. Seuss Enterprises granted Verlag Antje Kunstmann exclusive publishing rights to these iconic titles in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Verlag Antje Kunstmann first published The Lorax eight years ago, but this will mark the first time they’re publishing How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
Verlag Antje Kunstmann will begin to release these Dr. Seuss titles in September 2020, which coincides perfectly with the 50th anniversary of The Lorax. Both How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and The Lorax will be translated by award-winning German graphic artist and children's book author Nadia Budde for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
